The task could be more complex – like guiding an individual through the loss of a loved one, marital difficulties, financial issues, hearing loss, phobias, sexual abuse, or acceptance of one’s sexual orientation. It could be to help an individual cope with a serious mental illness such as anxiety, depression, problems caused by traumatic injury, or anger that interferes with work or family.

Dr. Mike and Phoenix associates are all licensed professionals, with advanced specializations in a number of fields. Phoenix Counseling & Hypnotherapy, LLC is owned and operated by Dr. Mike. However, all Phoenix associates, who share office space with Dr. Mike, are independent practitioners and are solely responsible for their own work. Dr. Mike is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Virginia License) and is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. He holds certification in clinical hypnotherapy from the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists, as well as certification as a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming from the American Hypnosis Training Academy. Dr. Mike is now certified as a trainer of mental health professionals in a specialized technique called Eye Movement Integration. He is also fluent in American Sign Language.

Becky Sadler is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is also certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Becky holds certification in clinical hypnotherapy from the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists and is a certified practitioner of Eye Movement Integration. Becky is also fluent in American Sign Language.

Dr. Prommart is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a certified bereavement facilitator who has been active in the field of psychology for more than 15 years.
